Interview with Donald E. Smith, undertaken by Philip Page in Don Smith's office and in the gardens at Dumbarton Oaks on several days in July, August, and September, 1992. At Dumbarton Oaks, both Don Smith and Philip Page were Superintendents of Gardens and Grounds. Don Smith was Assistant Superintendent (1952–1974) and Superintendent (1974–1992) of Gardens and Grounds. Philip Page was Superintendent of Gardens and Grounds (1992–1996). Don Smith died in 2012.

Oral History Interview with Donald Pumphrey, undertaken by Anna Bonnell-Freiden and Clem Wood at the Dumbarton Oaks Guest House (Fellows Building) on September 4, 2008. At Dumbarton Oaks, Don Pumphrey was a member of the Building and Security Staff (1975–1983), Assistant to the Superintendent of Buildings (1983–1988), Manager of Buildings (1988–1991), and Manager of Buildings and Security (1991 until his retirement in 2008).
