Oral History Interview with Herbert L. Kessler, undertaken by telephone by Joshua Wilson and James W. Curtin. At Dumbarton Oaks, Herb Kessler was an assistant to Paul Underwood (1963), a Junior Fellow (1964–1965), and a member of the Board of Senior Fellows (1980–1986) of the Byzantine Studies Program. With Kurt Weitzmann, Herb Kessler directed the Cotton Genesis Project (1979–1982).

Oral History Interview with Kenneth G. Holum, undertaken by Jean-Nicole Saint-Laurent, Anne Steptoe, and Elizabeth Gettinger at the Dumbarton Oaks Guest House (Fellows Building) on July 27, 2009. At Dumbarton Oaks, Ken Holum was a Visiting Fellow (1976–1977) and a Fellow (1982–1983 and 1997–1998) in Byzantine Studies. He also received a project grant in 1989–1990 for work on the Israeli archaeological site of Rehovot ba-Negev.

Musja Kazhdan was the wife of Alexander Kazhdan, Senior Research Associate in Byzantine Studies at Dumbarton Oaks (1979–1997). Between 1983 and 1991, Alexander Kazhdan was the editor of the Oxford Dictionary of Byzantium (New York: Oxford University Press, 1991).
