Description
Typewritten letter informs that many books have arrived at Dumbarton Oaks and been unpacked; still waiting for books from Traylens and the volumes of perennials by Mrs. Jane Loudon to be sent to Reef Point, Bar Harbor, Maine. Anne Sweeney will add all new books to the book lists and bring these with her when she visits.
Anne Sweeney comments that the book, North American wild flowers by Wilson sent to her from Reef Point was already ordered by Beatrix Farrand and received at Dumbarton Oaks.
There is a question as to whether the volumes by William Shenstone, The works in verse and prose is appropriate for the Dumbarton Oaks Garden Library. Two books from the Fiedler order are missing when compared to the order list.
Copy of original letter, unsigned. Probably created by Anne Sweeney as she worked with Beatrix Farrand and Isabelle M. Stover to acquire books for the Dumbarton Oaks Garden Library. There are related letters addressed to her.
