Letter informs Mildred Bliss that Beatrix Farrand is having an attack of lumbago; offers Beatrix Farrand's apologies for a lack of response to Mildred Bliss' letter of July 7, 1947; thanks her for a check for $300; and mentions that Beatrix Farrand plans on coordinating with Anne Sweeney when she arrives at Reef Point on book purchases for the Dumbarton Oaks Garden Library.

On Beatrix Farrand's Reef Point, Bar Harbor, Maine letterhead with handwritten signature of Isabelle M. Stover. Letter probably sent on behalf of Beatrix Farrand.
