Description
Letter responding to Beatrix Farrand's sent report to Harvard regarding the maintenance of Dumbarton Oaks' grounds (B:BF 1941.11.24). Mentioning she start a plant record book for Dumbarton Oaks and encouraging her that it is Harvard's intention to maintain the quality and designs of the gardens by carefully reviewing new plantings to budget resources during World War II. He ends the letter by praising the work Anne Sweeney is doing as garden guide and encourages the continuation of the garden tours.
