Description
Discusses the bill for the work and plans for the proposed alterations for the Cool House (greenhouse) or Garden Center. Robert Patterson expresses disappointment for sending a bill for work that will not be carried out, but admits that there is now a clearer idea of what "we are aiming for." He contacted Matthew Kearney for measurements which he has received. He has a couple of rough "sketches showing the possibilities for floor plans for a new Garden Library on the Tennis Court and one south of the service entrance on thirty-second street. He will work on a sketch for the area north of the museum and send copies to John Thacher once completed. The 3 sketches Robert Patterson is going send are drawings are titled "Garden Library, Dumbarton Oaks, Harvard Univ., Washington, D.C." dated, August, 1951. The drawings can be found in the Dumbarton Oaks Archives, with accession numbers: AR.AP.MW.GL.001a, AR.AP.MW.GL.001b, AR.AP.MW.GL.001c.
