Notes

Original box:

Escorial.
Cod. Gr. 364 (Χ III 4)

Sticker on reel reads as above, with 364 crossed out and replaced (recte) with 382.

Easily legible except for certain marginal scholia, such as at 9r or 31r, probably due to water-damage. Codex apparently hard to open when photographed; very end of (ex. gr.) last few lines of 15v lost to the gutter, as the lefthand margin of 49r (where there is also an obscuring strip of 2-3 letters' length across six lines). More examples like these continue for the first ninety or so pages, but very little afterwards. Still, a carefully done, high-definition digital scan, with varying contrast at certain points, were greatly to be desired. Occasional marginalia partly cut off, as at 75v or the bottom of 171r, but since the edge of the pages in the latter show, and bearing Mr. Prado's generally high standard in mind, this is probably a defect of the manuscript rather than the photography. A slightly imperfect but neverthless very valuable – until such time as the manuscript be digitized – film.
