2013 is the 50th anniversary of the Dumbarton Oaks Rare Book Reading Room (Frederic Rhinelander King) and the Pre-Columbian Collection pavilion (Philip Johnson), built simultaneously but in contrasting styles between 1960 and 1963.
This short tour will be led by James Carder, curator of the House Collection and Archives. No reservations are required.
