Objects from the Pre-Columbian collection are on display in eight galleries in the Philip Johnson pavilion. The exhibition begins with art from the Inka and Aztec Empires and subsequent galleries showcase the art of different regions of Latin America, from Central Mexico to the Central Andes. An introductory gallery leading up to the exhibition offers general information about Pre-Columbian cultures, including a map, timeline, and illustrated text. Visitors to these galleries have a view of the outside patio and gardens.
