Paperback editions of classic Dumbarton Oaks titles

Dumbarton Oaks announces the launch of books.doaks.org, a new portal for paperback editions of classic Dumbarton Oaks titles. Books.doaks.org launches on April 20, 2018, with three of our most popular series. Volumes in Dumbarton Oaks Texts, the Washington series of the international Corpus Fontium Historiae Byzantinae, provide critical editions with facing translation, together with introduction and notes or commentary. The other two series feature Byzantium’s neighbors, east and west. Irfan Shahîd’s seven-volume history Byzantium and the Arabs is a history of the Arabs and their relationship with the Eastern Roman Empire from 64 BC to the advent of Islam in the seventh century. The studies, translations, and editions in Dumbarton Oaks Medieval Humanities focus on the eastern Mediterranean during the Byzantine era through the prism of non-Greek texts.

The release of these three essential series at the launch of this new portal is just the beginning—we will add more series and books, many previously unavailable, to provide continued availability of these texts to our audience of scholars. For general inquiries, please email us at doaksbooks@doaks.org

To celebrate our launch, we invite you to visit books.doaks.org and use the coupon DOAKSBOOKS20 to receive 20% off your purchase through May 20.
