NOTE

Samedi 20 Mai 1916

[Saturday, May 20, 1916 / Dear Georgette, It was with pleasure that I saw yesterday your map of the current 5. I am always happy to receive good news and to know that you are in good health. Angela wrote me too, she told me that she is also in good health. I got some news from the whole family and everyone is bored; there is something because it's too long and yet he'll have to wait and have hope despite the bad moment we are experiencing. I'm still very healthy and still at the camp but I think it will change we won't stay here either because a large reinforcement is coming. I hear news from Blanche, I get all my mail every 10 or 12 days as long as they have received news, we're more peaceful. I know nothing new. We only need one thing - the end - and our return in this waiting from afar. I leave you and embrace you and the whole family / Love from the Orient]
