Elisina Tyler to Mildred Barnes Bliss, July 28, 1916

Paris.

July 28th 1916Friday.

Mildred Dearest,

I have a message for you from Gerard. I am to tell you that he thanks you so much for the kind message of acknowledgment of his photograph which you sent him through me.See letter of June 21, 1916. He quite understands that you are much too busy to write to him. If you have time next half to write, he will be so glad to get a letter from you, but now he is going home for the holidays, so it is better not to write until he is back again at Eton, to save the possibility of a “fuss”.

I am going away—to Arromanches,—till Tuesday evening. Could I come to luncheon with you on Wednesday next? Please let me find word here. I get back at 7.15 on Tuesday.

My best love, ever, and my kindest messages and love to Robert.

à bientot, please.

Ever your devoted

Elisina.

Excuse a frenetic scrawl at 12.15 a.m.
