Mildred Barnes Bliss to Elisina Grant Richards, December 30, 1910

Dec 30/10Friday.

Dear Elisina

Unexpectedly I have an opportunity to send a small greeting to my Godson by the courtesy of an Argentine acquaintance.Elisina Grant Richards replied on January 30, 1911: "For one brief moment it flashed on me that you might actually be in Paris yourself. . . . [I] felt a disappointment that I won't qualify when I had to substitute the hazy image of a courteous Argentine acquaintance. Please accept William's gurgle of gratitude." It isn’t a particularly polite gift! but I mean to send him something of my own making before long.

I shall write you on New Year’s Day: we have been beyond occupied, but you and Royall and small William have scarcely left my thoughts.

All be well with you and my love to you 3 and Robert’s.

Loyally always

Mildred Bliss.
