1.III.27Tuesday.

Dear Robert.

I’ve just had your card. The whereabouts of this card are unknown. I hope certainly to be in France late in April, and of course I’ll come to see you in Paris. The Tylers met the Blisses in Paris, likely on or shortly before May 3, 1927; see letters of May 3, 1927, and May 4, 1927. I’m greatly relieved to hear you are not leaving before May 1st.Robert Woods Bliss was officially appointed U.S. ambassador extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary to Argentina on February 17, 1927. His appointment as envoy extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary to Sweden ended on March 15, 1927. I’ve got a meeting in Rome towards the end of this month, and the Byz. Congress at Sophia [sic] April 6–12.The Second International Congress of Byzantine Studies was held in Belgrade, not Sofia, in 1927. See letter of March 9, 1927.

Yrs ever
R. T.

Love to Mildred.
