Dearest Mildred,
Your telegramThe whereabouts of this telegram are unknown. has just reached me. I am so very sorry not to see you again to say goodbye and wish you a happy journey all the way.
I know how very crowded the last hours must be and you being absent on Sunday, makes me feel it would be very indiscreet on my part to ask for a scrap of your time of the last day.
I hope my account of the happenings concerning the “Oeuvre”See letter of April 7, 1942. during the troubled days of the occupation interested you. If so, I shall be happy to keep you posted on further developments as they appear above the horizon.
My very best love to you both
Yours affectionately always
