Paris, 13.XII.51

Dear Robert,

I’ve just cabledSee telegram of December 13, 1951 [1]. you asking you if you could get me a room at the Knickerbocker ClubThe Knickerbocker Club, a gentlemen’s club in New York that was founded in 1871 and has been located at 2 East 62nd Street since 1913. for my arrival in N.Y., Jan. 8 morning—by plane TWA, alas!

I may have to be over there 3 weeks or so, but my stay in N.Y. will no doubt be interrupted by a trip to Washn.

If it’s difficult to get me in at the Knickerbocker,The Knickerbocker Club, a gentlemen’s club in New York that was founded in 1871 and has been located at 2 East 62nd Street since 1913. just send me a cable to that effect, & don’t bother about hotel reservation: NCFE will see to that.

I’m greatly looking forward to seeing both of you.

With fond love & wishes for Xmas from both of us to both of you.
