Early Byzantine, sixth–seventh century

Gold, 9.8 cm x 38.1 cm x 0.6 cm (3 7/8 in. x 15 in. x 1/4 in.)

Mildred Barnes Bliss and Robert Woods Bliss acquired this necklace from the Cairo dealer Khawam Brothers through the Paris dealer Kalebdjian Frères in August 1938.
