Notes

216 fols., parchment.
Approx. 5x7 inches.
Εὐστρατιάδη (1925) 163 (pp. 17sq.).
Iter Psellianum nos. 1055-1057, 1142 (pp. 473-478, 517sq.).
214r has later date added, 1612.

On the two recto-pages before the text (“0r” and “-1r”), three large and challenging μονοκόνδυλα.

Text begins on page opposite 1r (at “0v”):  «Ἐρώτησις», incipit «Ἐὰν εἶπῄ σοί τις ὅτι ἐπὶ τῆς θεότητος ὁπόσας φύσεις...»

59v-60v, 61v-62v (from Justinian’s Ecloga, «περὶ κωλυμάτων τοῦ γάμου»):  Graphs with various συγγενεῖς (ἡ Ἄννα... ἡ [Βαρβάρα?]... ὁ σκληρὸς [Σκληρὸς?] Πέτρος ἀδελφὸς ἡμέτερος...) etc.

188v/189r (in Περὶ ποικίλων ζητημάτων: περὶ ὀπτασιῶν, περὶ ψυχῆς κλπ.) have graphs of four triads:
Πατήρ — Υἱός — Πνεῦμα
Νοῦς — Λόγος — Πνεῦμα [sic, iterum]
Πῦρ — Ἀπαύγασμα — Φῶς
Πηγή — Ποταμός — Ὕδωρ
Over the final set, in a faint pen and later hand, is another set, with a round (eye?) on the left-hand side:
Ὁφθαλμόν [read with spir. lenis] — Πηγήν — Ποταμόν

The manuscript ends with the following proprietary note (215r) and curse-cum-legal-disclaimer (216r) (both orig. spelling; fol. 215v blank; parentheses indicate expansions, not corrections).  The second is clear. For the first, see notes below; otherwise, qui oculos habet legendi, legat.

216r:
— ἀπε τοῦ: perhaps we should read «ἀπὸ τοῦ», with the use of the genitive coming from the learnèd language.  (A less likely possibility is that ἐπαίτου is meant.)
— Νικήτου: probably a personal name, but perhaps a reference to the Μονὴ Νικητῶν.
— ἄσπρα [ἑξῆντα]: akçeler.  An akçe is a third of a para and 1/120 of a groschen (kuruş/γρόσι). Cf. Athos, Παντελεήμονος ms. 124 (our WEST.MTA.11.6 and WEST.MTA.11.6). An expansion of the abbreviation with the accusative seemed most likely, but perhaps ἄσπρων were better.
— σαράντι:  possibly a 40-akçe piece (a third of a groschen), or the place-name Σαράντι (of which there are several around Greece).
— τοῦ γέρ[ο]ντος:  George’s father?
— ἐπὶ χρόνου = τοῦ χρόνου (next year).
— ἐπίλοιπα = ὑπόλοιπα (nothing to do with furniture!).
