Notes

Contents: A Selection of Different Stories about the Melissenos family by George/Gennadios Scholarios.

f. (1)r incipit: “Κατὰ τὴν πρόσταξιν τὴν σὴν θεοπροχείρητε ἄναξ...”

The folio number on the first page looks like 78 but afterwards the folios are numbered from 2-10 so perhaps the 78 stands for something else.

The final image on the microfilm is a letter from the Greek scholar Periklēs Zerlentēs dated to August 26th, 1901.  Zerlentēs asks whether ms. 52 (Phillipps 1456) concerning the Melissenoi mentions Makarios Melissenos, the archbishop of Monemvasia, his brother Theodore the Despot and particularly Nikephoros, son of Theodore.  For more information on the works of Zerlentēs, please see the Anemi link in the online resources list.
