Notes

Contents:

Psalter.

Fol. 299r contains a note with curse invoking the wrath of the fathers upon potential thieves and that the manuscript was dedicated by a Makarios the Cretan. It is dated (according to Gardthausen) to 1565. (See Gardthausen, p. 19 [under the internet links] for more information, also on the scribe)

Fol. 299v contains a small and rather creative inscription by a certain ὅσιος μοναχός claiming to be the scribe of the manuscript.

Kamil 86 (see p. 65, listed in the bibliography)

Dumbarton Oaks owns a copy of Professor Kurt Weitzmann’s large collection of black-and-white images of Sinai manuscripts (the original set is at Princeton University). These images are available for viewing in the Image Collections and Fieldwork Archive (ICFA). Please consult the pdf linked in the internet resources to see which folios from this manuscript are included in the holdings.
