Notes

Contents:

This manuscript, which seems to be something of a companion piece to Sin. Gr. 2318 (see microfilm MTS.1.67), details the relations between the monastery and the local community in the 17th c by means of short, dated entries in many different hands. Many of the entries describe the aggressions that the monks and the monastery suffered. These include physical abuse, theft, destruction of property and kidnapping. The majority of the text is in Arabic.

For a general idea of the nature of these entries, here is an excerpt from around fol.

This manuscript has no foliation and is not listed in Kamil.
