Notes

Contents:  Anonymous, Ἔκφρασις ὡραιοτάτη εἰς τὸν θεῖον καὶ προφητηκότατον [sic]  Δαβὶδ Κοσμᾶ ποιητοῦ or Verse Commentary on the Psalms.

According to Moore’s Iter Psellianum (p. 505) and Hunger’s catalogue (p.96), the work has been spuriously attributed to Michael Psellos. Please see Iter Psellianum [1106] POE.54 (p.505-6; also available under the external internet resources) for a helpful quotation from Westerink's edition identifying the different parts of the work. The bibliographic reference to Westerink's edition maybe be found on page 506.

Pinakes ascribes the work to “Cosmas Hymnographus” rather than Kosmas Indikopleustes (as Hunger does, see p.96 of the catalogue).

The ms. is signed by Andreas Darmarios on f. 40r and dated to September 4th, 1565.
