Translation

Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Ἰωάννῃ βεστάρχῃ καὶ λογοθέτῃ τοῦ δρόμου.

Mother of God, help your servant John, vestarches and logothetes of the Dromos.

Commentary

In his typescript of the Shaw Catalogue, Laurent suggested that the owner had been appointed vestarches and logothetes of the Dromos during the reign of Nikephoros III Botaneiates (1078-1081). See also Lavra I, p. 144.
