(Seal of) Eulampios patrikios and logothetes of the sakellion and of the stratiotikon.

Commentary

Zacos–Veglery notes that this is the first seal that combines these two offices. The authors posit that the logethetes of the sakellion, which is not found in the sources, may be similar to the chartoularios of the sakellion, and "apply to the official in charge of the imperial treasury."

A better-preserved similar or parallels specimen (Zacos-Veglery, no. 801a) allows us to complete the transcription for this seal. In addition, the other specimen shows that there was a tendril decoration, on both sides, above the first line of inscription.

Laurent identified this Eulampios with the owner of a seal, who was a patrikios and logothetes of the stratiotikon (Laurent, Corpus 2, no. 534; PmbZ 1671).
