Translation

Κύριε βοήθει Γεωργίῳ κριτῇ καὶ ἀναγραφεῖ τον Ὀππιμάτων τῷ Ἀνδριομένῳ.

Lord, help George Andreiomenos judge and anagrapheus of the Optimatoi.

Commentary

On line 5 of the reverse the engraver erroneously used the common double-pi ligature instead of Π and Τ, as required for the word Optimatoi. The DO Collection (BZS.1955.1.2903) contains a seal of George Andreiomenos, with the bust of St. George on the obverse. For a physician named Andreiomenos, see A. Kouzes, "Τὸ ἀνέκδοτον ἔτι ἰατρικὸν ἔργον τοῦ Ἀνδρειωμένου," EEBS 6 (1929) 383-86.
