Δούκαν σεβαστὀν Ἀνδρόνικόν με σκέποις.

May you protect me, the sebastos Andronikos Doukas.

Commentary

In her commentary on this and related specimens, Wassiliou-Seibt notes two possibilities for the Andronikos Doukas named in this metrical inscription, both from the later twelfth century. See Polemis, Doukai, no. 220 and no. 224.
