Commentary

This specimen was evidently re-used. The traces of a previous strike are evident on the obverse which bore a cruciform invocative monogram (either Κύριε or Θεοτόκε βοήθει) completed by τῷ δούλῳ σοῦ in the quarters. On the reverse, the letters ΑΤ .Δ ΙΤ are visible (at 180º to the second strike) but the full inscription cannot be reconstituted.
