Translation

O Lord my God, in Thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me.

Commentary

The inscription is taken from Psalms 7: 2. For this reason we read the abbreviation in the second last line of the reverse as κ(αὶ) rather than Κ(ύρι)ε (as does Wassiliou-Seibt).
