Ἰουλιανοῦ/Ἀνανίου. Ἰουλιανοῦ/Ἀνανίου

(Seal of) Julian/Ananias. (Seal of) Julian/Ananias.

Commentary

Zacos reads Καρίνου, based on BZS.1955.1.40 where this monogram appears on the obv. and Καρίνου appears on the rev. However, Καρίνου does not resolve the monogram, as it lacks a Κ and a Ρ, but a monogram from San Vitale does, as Ἰουλιανοῦ. Another possible reading of the monogram is Ananias.
