Commentary
Very poor engraving. Theodosios should be added to the list of prelates in Fedalto, HEO.
Today Erzurum, Theodosioupolis (of Armenia) is listed as a suffragan bishopric of Caesarea of Cappadocia until the beginning of the tenth century (Darrouzès, Notitiae, 7, l. 109) but seems to have been elevated to the rank of metropolis when the town became the seat of a strategos early in the eleventh century (Listes, 355). List of prelates in Fedalto, HEO I, 421. See also Sinclair II, 187 ff.
