Outline of Christ seated on a square-backed throne. Epigraphy visible at right: ΧΣ̅ : [Ἰ(ησοῦ)ς] Χ(ριστό)ς. Border of dots.
Reverse
Michael VII standing on a rectangular dais and wearing a crown and a loros, an end of which is draped over the left wrist. He holds a labarum (?) in the right hand and a globus cruciger in the left. Circular inscription. Border of dots.
ΜΙΧΑΗ,ΑΥ......ρμοδκα,
Μιχαὴ(λ) αὐ[τοκράτ(ωρ)] Ῥωμ(αίων) ὁ Δούκα(ς).
Translation
Μιχαὴλ αὐτοκράτωρ Ῥωμαίων ὁ Δούκας.

Commentary
The inscription on the reverse is restored on the basis of BZS.1951.31.5.1678 and the Likhachev specimens.
