Lord, help your servant Manuel or Emmanuel, by the grace of God, metropolitan of Euchaita and synkellos.

Commentary

We know of a seal having belonged to Manuel metropolitan of Euchaita (Speck, Bleisiegel I, no. 123).

There are traces of the inscription engraved at the line before Μανουήλ. We assume it may be a decoration; otherwise, there was one more line, which could consist of the letters εμ — in which case the name should be read Ἐμμανουήλ — which does not make much difference. Both are possible.
