Translation

Niketas, deacon of the great patriarchal church, cleric epi tou oikonomou of the Nea and Tropaiophoros.

Commentary

Because of the missing section on the left side of the inscription, the second line of the reverse inscription presents a minor issue: the broken off Π--which looks like a Τ, which is necessary to the intelligibility of the following ΩΙΚ,Ν. However, its restitution as a Π is both quite likely and quite plausible given the surrounding inscription.
