Commentary

The obverse is similar to BZS.1955.1.7 and BZS.1955.1.8, except that unlike those obverses, the Σ is placed upside down atop the Τ. The reverse is uncertain, and could also be read as πατριαρχικοῦ ἄρχοντος (patriarchal archon), πατρικἰου καὶ ἄρχοντος (patrikios and archon) or πατρικἰου καὶ σχολαστιχοῦ (patrikios and scholastikos). Reading it as πατρικἰου καὶ ὑπάρχου (patrikios and eparch) is not likely because of the Σ.
