Commentary
The inscription is metrical and consists of one dodecasyllabic and one septasyllabic verse. Two other seals in the Dumbarton Oaks Collection, listed below, are parallel to this seal and one is likely related. Cf. Stavrakos, Die Byzantinischen Bleisiegel, p. 198.
