Translation

Συμεὼν πρωτοσπαθάριος ἐπὶ τοῦ κοιτῶνος καὶ κατεπάνω Ἰταλίας.

Symeon protospatharios epi tou koitonos and katepano of Italy.

Commentary

There is no mention of a katepano named Symeon in Falkenhausen, Dominazione. But in the Annales Barenses, a katepano named Siriano is mentioned in the year 1061/1062; this could be a mistake for Symeon.
