Seal of Joseph Tarchaneiotes magistros.

Commentary

This is the Joseph Tarchaneiotes who abandoned the emperor Romanos Diogenes to his fate at Manzikert and received as his reward a promotion to supreme commander of the armies of the west and proedros from Michael VII Doukas.
