An unusual floral decoration, consisting of eight flowers emerging from an octagonal center. Traces of a circular inscription within border of dots.

Translation

Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Βασιλείῳ μωναχῷ τῷ Ἀνιώτῃ (?).

Theotokos, help your servant, the monk Basil Aniotes (?).

Commentary

The restitution of the name Ἀνιώτῃ, although reasonable, is not certain. The first letter of the family name may be rounded, and may thus perhaps be Φθιώτῃ (Phthiotes) or something of the like.
