Translation

Κύριε or Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Θεοδώρῳ προἐδρῳ καὶ δουκὶ τῷ Ταρωνίτῃ.

Lord or Mother of God, help your servant Theodore Taronites, proedros and doux.

Commentary

Note the use of accent marks.

The reading of the first line of the inscription on the obverse is uncertain. All that can be said with confidence is that it must be the first part of an invocation.
