Commentary

This specimen comes from the same boulloterion and same stock of blanks as BZS.1958.106.4191 and BZS.1958.106.3367.

There are relatively few seals of kometes tes kortes (counts of the tent of the strategos, cf. Listes, 341) who specify on their seals the name of the theme in which they exercised their functions (e.g., Sig., 289-90, komes tes kortes of Chaldia).
