Sara Taylor has been managing editor of art and archaeology publications at Dumbarton Oaks since 2010.  She has overseen the production of print and online publications in the fields of art history, archaeology, anthropology, and landscape architecture. Her responsibilities include developing, copyediting, and proofreading selected manuscripts; managing existing publications (from organizing submissions reviews to devising production schedules, obtaining image permissions, and supervising freelancers and editorial interns); and collaborating with program directors, museum staff members, and scholars to develop new publications.

Taylor received a doctoral degree in art history from Bryn Mawr College in 2006, with a specialization in the colonial art and architecture of the Americas. Her dissertation examined the sixteenth-century convento of Santiago Apóstol in Cuilapan, a Mixtec community in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico.
