Plant Humanities Summer Program

Allison Fulton is a PhD candidate in English at the University of California, Davis, with a designated emphasis in science and technology studies. Her dissertation project explores the gendered relationship between scientific personae and scientific materiality at work in nineteenth-century America. Alongside her dissertation research, she partakes in making and doing projects that engage with the artistic and technical processes of her dissertation’s archival materials. At Davis, she coruns the working and making group History of the Book and Material Cultures in the Digital Age.
