Richard Tong

Postgraduate Digital Media Fellow

Richard Tong studied history and East Asian studies at Harvard, and received an MSc in contemporary Chinese studies from the University of Oxford. He was a junior fellow at the Asia Society Policy Institute, where he researched China’s foreign policy and assisted the work of former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. His own research has focused on the history of internationalism, focusing on both Anglophone and Chinese actors. He has also previously worked as a photographer for Harvard’s CS50 production team, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences’ communication team, and History Department, and has an extensive background in freelance photography and videography.
