Kyra March graduated in May of 2022 from Harvard College with a degree in African American Studies and Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality with a Language Citation in Gullah. Kyra wrote an undergraduate senior thesis titled “’When and Where I Enter’: Preserving African American Women’s Histories through Historic House Museums,” which investigated how Black women are underrepresented in historic preservation and explained why the home is a powerful medium to interpret African American women’s histories through. While at Harvard, Kyra served as a research assistant for various scholars through the Hutchins Center for African and African American Research and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. She is passionate about Black women’s history, public history, and questions around public memory.
