A driving force in Nordic music, the young Danish trio performs original compositions combining influences from Scandinavian folk music with elements of classical music and other traditions from around the world. With instrumentation comprising piano/accordion, cittern (a stringed instrument related to the mandolin and bouzouki), and violin played by Rune Tonsgaard Sørensen (also a member of the stellar Danish String Quartet), the trio’s palette ranges from gentle, intertwining melodies to fiery folk grooves.
