“More fun than a barrel of pickles. Best thing since sliced bagels.”—Fyodor Karamazov, The Flying Karamazov Brothers
This energetic band explores the treasury of Jewish music, embracing a timeless world-café of beautiful Spanish-flavored romances of the Sephardim, the songs and swing of New York’s Yiddish theater, and whirlwind klezmer dances from eastern Europe. The Kosher Red Hots have collaborated with NPR’s Susan Stamberg and have inspired dancing in the aisles on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor. The musicians are an adventurous vocalist who sings in Yiddish, Ladino, and English, and three master instrumentalists on clarinet, accordion, double bass, and guitar.
