Description
Typewritten letter discusses the return of the rare book list after Anne Sweeney made a copy for herself and Mildred Bliss. She is also enclosing negatives from Mrs. Bland. Anne Sweeney mentions the Dumbarton Oaks garden tours resuming and having over 1000 visitors on a weekend. She explains matters such as the new card catalog index for plants being deferred until Robert Patterson visits Dumbarton Oaks.
Copy of original letter, unsigned. Probably created by Anne Sweeney as she is responding to letters sent to her by Isabelle M. Stover, March 20, 1947 (B:IMS 1947.03.20), one Isabelle M. Stover sent on behalf of Beatrix Farrand, April 7, 1947 (B:IMS 1947.04.07), and one from Beatrix Farrand while she was in California.
