Discusses books on mosses difficult to find and a book on roses has been ordered for the library. Mr. William Judd will be consulted to offer other suggestions on books for mosses. Beatrix Farrand mentions her upcoming visit to Dumbarton Oaks, September 23-24, 1944 and her hopes to see Anne Sweeney during that time.
Beatrix Farrands asks: "Tell me also whether your trips have had to be discontinued during the [Dumbarton Oaks] Conversations or whether people are allowed to look at the gardens while the Great Ones are consulting about the future world!" An exhibition catalog was produced from the exhibit that commemorated the 50th Anniversary of the Dumbarton Oaks Conversations titled, Dumbarton Oaks Conversations, 1944-1994.
