Description

Typewritten letter discusses the balances of the expense accounts for Dumbarton Oaks and the cost of Anne Sweeney's upcoming travel to Reef Point, Bar Harbor, Maine. Given the current and possible remaining expenses, Beatrix Farrand does not think any funds will remain to paint the greenhouse.

Submitted were records for the Beatrix Farrand account with $600 in fees for professional services and $250 allotted for Anne Sweeney's travel, and the Beatrix Farrand, Agent account showing an overdraft of $8.86. She reports the book account has a balance of $34.07 which she wonders if she should continue this as a reserve fund between herself and Anne Sweeney.

Postscript asking John Thacher if he and Robert Patterson found time to review the Dumbarton Oaks notes (possibly the notes for Beatrix Farrand's Plant Book for Dumbarton Oaks) approved by Mildred Bliss.

On Beatrix Farrand, Reef Point, Bar Harbor, Maine letterhead.
