Description

Typewritten letter accepts Beatrix Farrand's resignation and offers her the title, Consulting Landscape Gardener, Emerita beginning July 1, 1947 the day of her official resignation. John Thacher reports that Robert Patterson will be offered the Beatrix Farrand's position and will request he visit Dumbarton Oaks in April 1947 for which he extended Beatrix Farrand to join in the visit. He mentions that Anne Sweeney is due for a salary increase.

John Thacher reports he is quite busy prior the end of April before he travels with the Byzantine Conference [Byzantine Art and Scholarship Symposium] organized by Princeton University, Walters Gallery in Baltimore, and Dumbarton Oaks.
